The essence of freedom

Osho: “The greatest fear in the world is the opinion of others, and the moment you are unafraid of the crowd, you are no longer a sheep you become a lion. A great roar arises in your heart, the roar of freedom.”

Freedom is embracing and giving space to our true being. This essence became hidden through identification and believing that the other had and knew something that we lacked. And thus, we started to belief in inferiority and lack. In our sense of needing something from another. We have become so identified with the need for method to know how to do it, the need of a recipe and an instruction manual and a set of techniques, that in the effort to gain our essence we agree to put it in a distance to need some other to teach us how to be. This also created a willingness among a large part of society to give-in to the will of a perceived authority figure. Without ever questioning the rationality. However, this crushes the manifestation of the natural, innate creative and humanitarian energies that leads to true manifestation. To follow your own path instead of the prescribed or someone’s else path requires courage and responsibility. But to reject this ‘road to freedom’ out of fear of the unknown is to block the spontaneous social, mental and spiritual development of the growing individual and the direction that the soul had mapped out. This essence is our innermost spontaneous free Self. That no one can teach us how to be. The system of order, of nature, does not follow the bureaucratic rules of a human system that wants to hide the essence of its members.

To return to our essence we must know who we are. Our essence is beyond any identification, which is already a sign we can’t cope with our freedom. Essence breaks free from the chain of all images, desires, demands and fear, the need to proof anything to anyone. The need to proof superiority is already a sign of enslavement that wants to compensate having compromised its freedom. Our true essence has everything it needs within itself. It transcends even its own knowledge so it’s always in a state of being surprised and astonished by its own miraculous power of creativity. And it knows it can trust that. Essence is infinite, unlimited, without boundaries. It bows to no one except for another manifestation of essence. It’s the love for freedom which brings freedom again to be the reality that rules over the rules of slavery. Claiming freedom is giving rebirth to a state of freedom and joy. To express that truth instead of hiding behind a mask because of fear of revealing the True Self to the world, by fear of need to fit in. The essence of freedom is our True Self which is omniscience and omnipresence. It’s the glorious and essence that is our supreme reality.

Einstein said “a human being is a part of the whole (universe), a part limited by time and space. The experience itself as something separated from the rest. A kind of optical delusion of his consiousness.” So it’s freeing our self from mind, from the domination of mind on our sense of perception. And it’s all about going beyond rules by becoming consciousness. The laws of physics are the rules of limitation that come from mind. Consciousness can overcome the illusory laws of this reality. When we realize who we are.

Hinduism says that one becomes free, Sannyasi, when the innermost sheath of creation is also withdrawn, then there is no longer anything to keep man in bondage to this creation of Maya. He then enters into the creation of Light.
